Websites are not set and forget and they are not “build it and they will come” either!
Sometimes a website is not effective because it’s trying to reach too broad an audience, so you need to know who your website is aimed at. An extreme example would be having a men’s tools website in vivid pink with rainbows and unicorns. It simply wouldn’t appeal to the target audience.
Websites need traffic to gain you the customers that you’re looking for so this means creating a sales funnel. This is a way of attracting people to your business, letting them get to know what you do and then showing them why they need you.
Think of it as dating before popping the question. They need to get to know your business before they’ll say yes.
